Five days ago I started a self portrait. Hard task, huh?! As a material I choose the clay. How do I do it? Well... First of all, I prepared the wood structure, the clay, the tools... I fixed two mirrors so that I can see myself from sides also, and I let my hands... go! All I had to do was to search for myself into the clay and try to discover me like I do it when I look into the mirror.Little by little the clay got a shape and the other Nora started to stare at me. It doesn't look like my twin sister yet :-) so I'm still working on it. |
